History
|
The Humane League of Lancaster County is an independent, non-profit organization that is recognized as the area's leader in animal welfare. Our dedicated staff and volunteers provide compassion and care to nearly 11,000 animals each year through a variety of services. Our unique foster care program allows to us save even more lives while our partnerships with other rescues and shelters help us place an ever increasing number of animals in permanent and loving homes. We value our volunteers, members, and supporters as important contributors to the work that we do. Through working together, we can achieve our vision of creating a humane community where all animals are protected and wanted.

 We would like to formally invite you to join us for our annual Henry C. Brandt Memorial Wags & Whiskers Event. This year's dinner auction will be held at Liberty Place in downtown Lancaster and will feature a supper club theme, reminiscent of the 1930's. Events will begin at 6pm and will include: cocktail hour with an open bar, silent auction, dinner, awards presentation, live auction, and entertainment throughout the evening. As they arrive guests will be treated to the mellow tunes of Saxophonist, Ken McCoy. Enjoy the sultry sounds of Jazz Singer, Amy Banks, during the evening's cocktail hour and silent auction. Guests will enjoy a three course dinner with complimentary wine prepared by Stocks on Second while being entertained with live piano music by John Brubaker, a dance ensemble and a procession of  adoptable animals. D.J. T-Minus will be spinning your favorite records to close out an exciting evening as we raise funds for Lancaster's homeless pets...
...because that is what this special event is all about! All of the money raised will go to our Animal Rescue Fund and will make a difference in the lives of animals who have been neglected and abused, lost or abandoned,or misplaced due to family difficulties.
Your attendance and participation at Wags & Whiskers will help us care for thousands of animals each year as they wait to find forever homes!
