The Humane League of Lancaster County received almost 13,400
cats, dogs, rabbits, birds, hamsters, rats and reptiles during
2004. This number represents a 7% increase over the number
of animals received in 2003, and a
52% increase over the number received in 2000! In particular,
with the opening of our Cat Adoption Center in the summer
of 2001, we have been able to accommodate more feline residents,
and experienced a 70% increase in
their numbers over the last four years.
